About the yarn.

Crochet Cactus Doll is made using Needles 8 ply acrylic yarn. I really loved working on it for this project. It has a really amazing texture and deep rich colours. For this project I used 1 ball of Chocolate, Ice Mint, Leaf Green and Pink. The head, body and arms of this crochet cactus is made using the colours chocolate and leaf green. I absolutely love when cactus sprout flowers and thought it would be so adorable to see this crochet cactus with tiny flowers too. For these, I used the mint green.

Stuffed animals look so adorable with accessories, and it is so fun dressing them up. I thought a scarf using the pink yarn would contrast so well with the other colours and it did! This crochet cactus is a winner and I can’t wait to see all the versions you make.

  1. I’m having a real tough time following you Catctus pattern. I was hoping that you could do a vid on how to work the pattern. For instance, the 1st round is nothing like a regular ring. I could really use some help. Can you help me get this started?

    1. Hi Kim. I’m sorry to hear that. The first round for the head isn’t meant to look like a ring. It’s more rectangular, like how booties are made…does that help? Are you having a hard time following the instructions? Sadly I don’t have access to materials to make a video tutorial at this time but you can get in touch any time and I’ll see how I can help.
