January Reading, Seedtime Crochet Blanket

Welcome to the first blanket of the 2025-26 Through the Bible CAL. The Seedtime Crochet Blanket will be crocheted from January 15, 2025- July 12, 2025.

We’ll be making 4 blankets over the course of 2 years. The colour scheme will represent the 4 seasons based on our theme from Genesis 8:22; seedtime, harvest, winter and summer. I have put together a Pinterest Board with blanket colour inspirations for all 4 of these.

We will be doing a simple moss stitch crochet blanket. All other details including what you’ll need for the Bible study, blanket pattern and colour suggestions, notes and tips can be found in the document below.

January 2025 Bible CAL

Week 1:

• Jan 15: Gen 1. God is the Creator and Beginner of all good things. Prayer points:
  • Knowledge of God
  • Strong biblical self-esteem
• Jan 16: Gen 2-3. God is the Master and Sovereign over your life. He is faithful to His promises.
  • A servant heart
  • Spouse
  • Protection
• Jan 17: Gen 4-5. God sets the example for what is good and walks with you.
  • Self-discipline
  • Salvation
• Jan 18: Gen 6-7. God is grieved when we sin. He is not unfeeling in the face of human sin and rebellion but seeks total obedience.
  • Renewal of the mind
  • Obedience to truth based on God’s Word
• Jan 19: Gen 8-9. God is faithful.
  • Remember God’s faithfulness
  • Peace

Week 2:

• Jan 20: Gen 10-11. God is Judge, He decides.
  • Humility/gentleness
• Jan 21: Job 1-2. God is our Protector
  • Protection
• Jan 22: Job 3-5. The LORD gives and the LORD takes.
  • Steward relationships well
  • Strength when facing death (of self or loved ones)
• Jan 23: Job 6-7. He visits us every morning and tests us every moment.
  • Strength through suffering
  • Hope in God
• Jan 24: Job 8-9. He does great things too marvelous to understand.
  • Understanding of salvation
• Jan 25: Job 10-12. He gives life and shows us unfailing love.
  • Wisdom and disernment
• Jan 26: Job 13-15. He will demand an account of us.
  • Hope in Christ
  • Live a life worthy of the sacrifice

Week 3:

• Jan 27: Job 16-18. He is our witness and Advocate on high.
  • Accept comfort from God

• Jan 28: Job 19-20. He is the One who gives me back my life.
  • Stand firm against all forms of wickedness
• Jan 29: Job 21-22. He is our treasure, our precious silver.
  • Submit to God
  • Regar God as the treasure
• Jan 30: Job 23-26. He controls my destiny. He is more glorious than the moon, and shines brighter than the stars
