About this crochet preemie hat pattern
The Twist to the Classic Hat is mostly worked in back loop only which adds a lovely ridged texture to it. This crochet hat pattern is simple but unique and works up fast. Furthermore, it’s easy to customize in terms of size, fit and colour. The pattern includes options for folded brim and brimless hat design.
This preemie hat pattern was part of the 2022 Preemie Crochet Challenge hosted by Sunflower Cottage Crochet. All downloads were made with a pledge to make at least one to donate to a NICU or similar.

Closing and finishing
First off, fold in half lengthwise with the right side facing each other. Sl st last row to beginning row to join them. To best disguise the join, seam is worked only through the chain stitches and the back loop of the adjacent st.
After that, fasten off leaving a 6 inch tail. Use this tail to sew the top of the hat closed.
