I recently designed a crochet cactus for LoveCrafts and I have to admit I have a cactus bug! I couldn’t resist designing another one, especially when I got the new Needles yarn by Crochet Kenya. Crochet your own adorable cactus doll using this special yarn! This sweet stuffie is so soft and cuddly and will make a perfect gift for you and your loved ones!

About the yarn.
Crochet Cactus Doll is made using Needles 8 ply acrylic yarn. I really loved working on it for this project. It has a really amazing texture and deep rich colours. For this project I used 1 ball of Chocolate, Ice Mint, Leaf Green and Pink. The head, body and arms of this crochet cactus is made using the colours chocolate and leaf green. I absolutely love when cactus sprout flowers and thought it would be so adorable to see this crochet cactus with tiny flowers too. For these, I used the mint green.
Stuffed animals look so adorable with accessories, and it is so fun dressing them up. I thought a scarf using the pink yarn would contrast so well with the other colours and it did! This crochet cactus is a winner and I can’t wait to see all the versions you make.

I’m having a real tough time following you Catctus pattern. I was hoping that you could do a vid on how to work the pattern. For instance, the 1st round is nothing like a regular ring. I could really use some help. Can you help me get this started?
Hi Kim. I’m sorry to hear that. The first round for the head isn’t meant to look like a ring. It’s more rectangular, like how booties are made…does that help? Are you having a hard time following the instructions? Sadly I don’t have access to materials to make a video tutorial at this time but you can get in touch any time and I’ll see how I can help.
Hi again Kim. Did you manage the pattern? I changed the wording on the first few rows to make it as clear as possible.
omg, this pattern was so very good and mine turned out so cute. i absolutely love it .
Awesome Terry! I’m so happy to hear that.
