Welcome to the July 2026 Crochet Devotional for the Harvesttime Blanket in our 2025–27 Through the Bible Crochet Along.
This month, our Bible reading continues through Israel’s history, where faithful kings stand beside unfaithful ones, prophets boldly speak God’s truth, and nations rise and fall. Through every triumph and every failure, one truth remains unchanged: God keeps His covenant and accomplishes His purposes.
June reminded us that God is patient with His people. He calls us back when we wander, strengthens us when we are weak, and continues His work even through imperfect lives. That is encouraging news, because if Scripture waited for perfect people, it would have been a remarkably short book.
Walking Through July’s Bible Readings
July continues that story of steady faithfulness. We’ll see moments of remarkable courage alongside heartbreaking compromise. We’ll witness the consequences of sin, the beauty of repentance, and the mercy of a God who continually invites His people to return. Again and again, He proves Himself worthy of our trust—not because circumstances are always easy, but because His character never changes.
The Harvesttime Blanket reflects that same truth. A harvest is not produced in a single day but through countless ordinary days of planting, watering, waiting, and trusting. Likewise, our faith is often formed through small acts of daily obedience that may seem insignificant at the time but, over time, bear lasting fruit.
Whether you’ve been crocheting along since Seedtime or you’ve only recently joined us, we’re so glad you’re here.
You don’t need a perfect reading plan, a finished blanket, or every devotional neatly checked off. The Lord has never measured our walk with Him by flawless attendance. He simply invites us to keep coming back.
If you’re just getting started, these resources may help:
Each day’s devotional includes:
- a Bible verse (or verses) to meditate on,
- a reminder of who God is,
- prayer points for the children and caregivers in our lives,
- and a blanket colour reflection to accompany your crochet.
As we continue through Harvesttime, may July remind us that the Lord is both the Master Gardener and the Lord of the Harvest. He faithfully prunes, nurtures, waters, and grows His people in every season. Even when we cannot yet see the fruit, we can trust the hands that are tending the garden.
