Welcome to the Harvesttime Crochet Blanket, the second season in the Through the Bible CAL (2025-2027) journey.
After seedtime comes harvest. After planting, growth follows. In the same way, after waiting, fruit arrives.
So in this season, we’re invited to reflect on what God is producing in our lives—through His Word, through prayer, and through the quiet, consistent work of our hands.
Just like the Seedtime Blanket, we’ll continue crocheting a simple, beginner-friendly blanket, pairing each day with Scripture, prayer, and meaningful colour choices.
And just like before—this isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence.
The Heart Behind the Harvesttime Crochet Blanket
If seedtime is about planting, then harvest is about seeing what has grown.
But here’s the beautiful truth:
Harvest doesn’t always look like we expected.
Sometimes it looks like:
- Deeper faith after a hard season
- Obedience when no one is watching
- Healing that came slowly, but surely
- Wisdom gained through experience
This blanket serves as a reminder that God is always at work beneath the surface, even when we can’t see immediate results.
The Bigger Picture of This CAL
The theme for this Through the Bible CAL (2025–2027) is based on Genesis 8:22:
“While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
Cold and heat,
Winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease.”
Because of this, our journey follows the rhythm of seasons—both in Scripture and in our lives.
Over time, we’ll be making four blankets in two years, each one representing a different season: Seedtime, Harvest, Winter and Summer.
Each blanket’s colour story reflects these seasons—capturing not just nature, but the rhythms of our spiritual lives: growth, waiting, renewal, and fullness.
I’ve also put together a Pinterest board with colour inspiration for all four blankets, to help you choose your palette and bring your vision to life.
“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.” — Psalm 126:5
From Seedtime to Harvest: A Journey Through Scripture & Stitch
One of the most meaningful parts of this CAL is that we’re not just crocheting—we’re walking through Scripture chronologically, allowing both our faith and our craft to grow together over time.
🌱 Seedtime: Genesis 1 – Judges 6
The Seedtime Blanket carried us through the early foundations of the Bible—beginning with creation and moving through the lives of the patriarchs, the wilderness journey, and into the early days of the judges.
This season was about:
- Beginnings
- Promises
- Trusting God in the unknown
- Learning what it means to walk with Him
Along the way, meaningful projects emerged:
- The Rainbow Cloud Hat — inspired by God’s covenant in Genesis 9, a reminder of His faithfulness after the storm.
- The Heirloom of Heritage Blanket — rooted in Genesis 15:5, reflecting God’s promise to Abraham and the beauty of legacy and generations.
- Numbers 22–26 Devotional Reflections — a season that invited us to slow down and notice how God guides, protects, and speaks, even in unexpected ways.
- The Lovey Collection (Donkey, Zebra and Horse) — comforting makes inspired by the wilderness journey, each one reflecting guidance, endurance, and God’s presence along the way.
- The Heart Hat Roundup — inspired by Deuteronomy 15:10–11, a reminder to give freely and open our hands to those in need, expressed through simple, practical crochet projects made with love and purpose.
Each stitch became part of a larger story—one of faith being planted, nurtured, and stretched.
🌾 Harvesttime: Judges 7 – 2 Kings 13
Now, as we move into Harvesttime, the journey continues—stepping into a season where the seeds of faith begin to bear fruit.
This portion of Scripture carries us through:
- The lives and leadership of the judges
- The transition into kingship
- The rise and fall of leaders
- God’s continued faithfulness despite human inconsistency
Harvesttime is a season of:
- Growth and maturity
- Refinement
- Seeing the results of what has been planted
- Learning through both victory and failure
And just like in Seedtime, we’ll continue to reflect, pray, and create—allowing each row of our blanket to tell the story of what God is doing in and through us.
This CAL is more than a project—it’s a journey of becoming.
And as we move forward, each new section builds on what came before, reminding us that nothing God plants is ever wasted. Even when things feel uncertain, God’s faithfulness remains steady.

Harvesttime Colour Theme
Harvesttime is richer, warmer, fuller than seedtime. It feels like a quiet glow—warm, rich, and full of depth. Its colours don’t shout; they settle in, like a season that has come into its fullness.

For example, you’ll see mustards, burnt oranges and deep greens.
At the same time, these colours work together to create depth and harmony. As a whole, your blanket becomes a visual testimony.
Who We’re Praying For

Throughout this season, we continue to lift up children (born, adopted, spiritual, or placed on our hearts), caregivers and families.
More importantly, we’re praying for the next generation walking into God’s promises. In doing so, we remember that harvest isn’t just personal—it’s generational.
How This Crochet + Devotional Rhythm Works

Each day in this CAL includes Scripture, reflection, prayer focus, and crochet. Together, these elements create a rhythm of intentional living, helping us:
- Stay grounded in God’s Word
- Reflect intentionally
- Pray with purpose
- Create meaningfully
As you follow along, you may begin to notice patterns in your journey. At the same time, your crochet becomes a record of that growth.
If you’d like to go a little deeper with this rhythm, you can pair your crochet time with prayer journaling—writing down your reflections, prayers, and what God is teaching you along the way.
You can also explore Bible colour coding as a simple way to highlight themes like God’s character, promises, and instructions as you read. Both of these practices can help you engage more intentionally with Scripture while you create, turning each row into not just a stitch—but a moment of reflection.
Follow Along Month by Month
This blanket is worked alongside monthly devotional posts.
To begin with, you can start with April.
Then, as new months are added, you can continue the journey at your own pace:

- June
- July

You don’t have to catch up or keep up. Instead, you’re invited to move at your own pace. After all, growth takes time.
